I'm so glad I didn't leave it to long......

Awesome, I can't contain my true excitement about these great releases.

I ordered straight away.

I ordered all except George Fenton's 84 Charing Cross Road,
as I don't know much about Mr Fenton.

How great is it the fact that all the Karate Kids are presented together,
I have been longing for years to own these scores of Bill Conti.

Hopes up for the next time VareseSarabande release soundtracks.......
......I don't know about you collectors, but I can sure say
that I am excited about the Karate Kid style of release,
you never know,
hopefully they will release all Alan Silvestri's
Back To The Future I, II & III in a set like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karate Kid is one of my favourite scores of the 80's!
I have weasted lots of money buying alle the bootleg cds on earth! Now, finally, the super box release!!!!

Thanks Varese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I pray for a complete, perfect sound-quality edition of Black Cauldron and Heavy Metal!

They are good, and they know it. That is why Varese Club titles are always gone in no time. I bought the whole series this morning.
Karate Kid is a bulls eye! Goldsmith's The vanishing, wow!

It is still strange that the 1.000 copies from the Sodom and Gomorrah 2 cd set by www.digitmovies.com are not gone yet. If this was done by Varese, they would have sold within a day. This is a wonderful edition by the way. They lifted up the sound quality as if it was recorded yesterday.

The Boy's at Varese are gone Mad !!!
The Wait is over...:-)
A 4CD Set for Karate Kid thats more than i ever hoped for.
+The Vanishing by Jerry Goldsmith i'cant belife it...
all i can say now is thank you Varese Sarabande !!!!

Hello,

Pretty darn good batch of club releases this time, I ordered all of them except "The Vanishing". So many releases, so little money, It's hard for me to keep up with them all. I just got through ordering, "The Big Country"(3000 copies), "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes"(3000 copies), "Sodom and Gomorrah" (1000 copies), "Deadly Friend" (1000 copies) , and "Some Came Running" (3000 copies). I guess Limited releases are both a curse and a blessing. I still have a big list of none limited releases I would like to order maybe someday, when I win the lottery that is. I must say it's only March and so far this year has already brought us a bunch of great film score releases, Good day everyone.

Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

I ordered Author! Author! only for the Johnny Mandel rejected bit. Finally a new Mandel score
on CD, even though it's very short. And I like it better than the actual used Grusin music (from
what I heard on the Varese-site). Probably not sounding commercial enough for the producer of
the movie. It would be interesting to read in the liner notes what the arguments were to reject
the score. And 84 Charing Cross Road has been a favorite of mine ever since it's release on LP.
A very nice early Fenton score. So these 2 were in my basket.

I was up in the middle of the night and ordered all 4 of the Varese releases. I know my wallet is screaming that I should have held off. I figured at least one of them would be sold out by now. Yes, The Vanishing is not one of Jerry's top drawer scores, but I like the cuts in the Fox Box. I like Fenton and Grusin, the Mandel unused score for Author!Author! is frosting on the cake. Then there is the Karate Kid set...4 Conti scores at a relatively modest per disc cost.

84 Charing Cross Road has sold out.

mcmahan, March 12, 2007; 6:18 PM

less than 12 hours!
Is this a new record?

tyuan74, March 12, 2007; 7:44 PM

'Is this a new record?'

I think that RUNAWAY sold out faster but I'm not certain. TOP SECRET sold out pretty quickly also...and so did KINDRED (although all three are still readily available from other retail sources. albeit at inflated prices).

American.Nightmare, March 12, 2007; 7:59 PM

The Kindred sold out in less time than that, about half a day. Plus the 2,000 copy of Runaway sold out in less than 24 hours - that's a record for a 2,000 copy edition. The 3,000 copy Ghostbusters score was released on the 6th March 2006 and sold out on the 24th May 2006! Possibly another record for a 3,000 copy CD.
