THE TWILIGHT ZONE: The Complete Definitive Collection
Aloha!...
For all Rod Serling's Twilight Z fans and not somewhere out there in cyberspace, just shooting the breeze since threads are drying up and becoming once in a blue moon event and sort of obsolete on this forum, I would like to share my excitement whether you like it or not by informing all SC fellow film music devotees in case they did not know, ~The Complete Definitive Edition~ box set released by Image Entertainment back in October of 2006 on 28 DVD's has numerous isolated scores from the various 156 episodes featuring music by Bernard Herrmann, Jerry Goldsmith, Van Cleave, Fred Steiner, Franz Waxman, Nathan Scott to name a few.
Wow - Wee - Bow Wow Wow!
This classic American television show spanned 5 great seasons dating from 1959 till 1964.
Thaaat's all!...

While out and about poking around some junk stores and such quite awhile back I came across some of the old E-Z Cue recordings containing some true music treasures long before any of that stuff was released commercially. Two cues in particular on one of the recordings that really stuck with me later that day as I listened was "Rock Dust" and "Forecast" (Goldsmith) from the Twilight Zone episode "Dust".
Love some of those "Twilight Zone" episodes! Exceptional music,
eh!
Isolated scores on the DVD package would truly make it worth a human beings time.
Incidentally, did you know that Nathan Scott (Next Stop Willoby) is the father of Jazz saxophonist Tom Scott?

Now I do... thanks for the tip!
The music overall throughout the numerous episodes is indeed very good film scoring which of course adds to the whole Twilight Zone ambiance and legacy.
It will be long before I view all the 28 discs and listen to all the isolated scores since I am in no rush in doing so.

Not surprised....I believe those TZ albums release by Varese years ago were all from the original masters used in the various episodes (one, but I forget which episode, was the ONLY one actually recorded in stereo!), so I won't be surprised when DVD rips of the music from the episodes turns up online.
