Percepto to re-release THE CHANGELING
"By popular demand, Percepto proudly presents our deluxe upgraded edition of THE CHANGELING..."
http://www.percepto.com/projects/006xe/index.html
They've also posted a news update which states as follows:
"Coming Soon! ONE composer, TEN complete scores! ONE-ONE-ONE Bonus! Percepto goes MAD, MOD AND MONSTROUS! Stay tuned!"

I have never heard any music from this score. Maybe someone of you could characterize the music a bit or liken it to another score?
Frankly I don't know too many horror movie scores, actually just some bits from John Carpenter (Halloween and the like). I do like the lullaby from ROSEMARY'S BABY and worship Wojciech Kilar's NINTH GATE.
Thanks,
Urs

There are still some sound samples up from their first release:

Well, from the three very brief samples, this seems like my kind of film music.
Is the whole score that melodic and piano-laden or is there a lot of dissonant, harsh music, too?

WHOOOOHOOOOOO

the waiting has its price

Is this a limited release as the original???
serifiot, April 13, 2007; 4:51 PM

Only 1,000 copies, I'm sure they will sell out fast

Hello,
Great Rerelease, One of my favorite Horror movie scores of all time. I think of it as classy and serious Horror movie music. Great to hear from Percepto agian, I just wonder about some of the earlier posts that complained about trouble with ordering from Percepto directly?
Best Regards,

I can't see anywhere where it says how many they made etc /// anyone also know when they will start shipping ? Is it in stock now or is there a date for release?
JackDVD78, April 13, 2007; 9:35 PM

I just received an email from Screen Archives and they do mention limited to 1000 copies even though Percepto mentions nothing of that sort. As far as receiving stuff from Percepto, I must have ordered from them directly and cannot recall having any type of problems with them but to play it safe, I will order from Screen Archives since the price is the same and since I am in desperate need of some FSM stuff in my bloodsteam!
serifiot, April 13, 2007; 9:52 PM

This page shows that it is only 1,000 copies

LOCH NESS was from Perseverance
A number of Precepto CDs have really been sold out, and the single edition of THE CHANGELING was, in fact, one of those "sold-out/ Out-of-print" released of only 1000 copies, not to mention THE BOY WHO COULD FLY (500 copies), THE FLY (3000) or MIRACLE ON 34th STREET (3000).
I have already got the first release of THE CHANGELING, but since this CD was so much sought after by collectors who missed it the first time, I think this new release is a good thing for everyone (not for especulators).
As a collector, I'm happy with my copy. It's less complete than the new, but it's worthy for me. It's a good item for a collection. Anyway, since I absolutely love this soundtrack (and the movie), I think I'm going to purchase also this new "De Luxe" edition.
Best regards,
Angel

Hello,
To: Coma - The "loch Ness" score is on the Perseverance Label, Not Percepto and I can't recall Percepto doing the same scam as Perseverance did.
Best Regards,

Kinda cute the way Coma wipes out all his comments here after a correction has been made by others to an error of his part (something he often likes to point out to others) isn't it?
