I already tried that a few months ago...Amazon could never get me a copy and finally had to refund my money. I haven't checked lately, do they actually have it in stock?

On e-bay You can find 3 Poltergeist soundtracks with prices starting at 9.99 USD.

I remember I had purcased my copy from Amazon/Canada at a decent price. Perhaps they have a copy.

Depends on what version you're looking for. If it's the 1997 expanded CD, you can find a new or used copy at Amazon, but I recommend you to get a used copy. It will get into your hands faster. And if you're looking for the old LP, only on eBay.
