What scores/tracks are you currently addicted to?
"Parting Words", "Navel Gazing", "Locke'd Out Again" and "Win One For The Reaper" and "Oceanic 815" from LOST (2005) Season 1 CD, Michael Giacchino. Brilliant, emotional music. I know absolutely nothing about the show but listening to this beautiful stuff makes me wish I had been a follower since the beginning. "Parting Words" is absolutely fanastic.
"Goodbye My Love", "Glory", "A Message For The Queen" and "Remember Us" from 300 (2007), Tyler Bates.
I've heard this score is derivative of the score from "Titus", haven't seen that film so I can't comment. These tracks above are epic, bombastic, and emotional. VERY good stuff.
"The Descent", "The Mountains", "White Water Rafting", "Alone" from THE DESCENT (2005), David Julyan.
Julyan has delivered one of the best horror scores in years. The track titled "The Descent" is a truly stunning masterpiece, overwhelming and exilerating. The quiet, bleak "Alone" almost makes me want to cry. What a way to close an album (and film).
Also, I'm addicted to The "Hello Zepp/Zepp Overature" from SAW (2004), by Charlie Clouser. Brilliant fusion of classical ideas with a new-age twist. Just awesome; very powerful too!

I currently into three tracks from the Japanese film called "Linda Linda Linda" about a Japanese school girl rock band (I don't know for sure as I have not yet seen the film, although it has just been recently released on DVD here in the US). The score itself was done by Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, but I really only like the rock songs performed in the film by the all-girl band called "Paranmaun". Actually these songs are covers of songs by the popular Japanese rock band "Blue Hearts". The name of the movie band is a Korean transileration of "Blue Hearts" as the signer of the movie group is a Korean girl. I don't know, it is poppy, fluffy scores like this one (and 2005's "Swing Girls") that are my guilty pleasures!

j6, how could you be listening to Tyler Bates' '300' and not be addicted to "Returns A King" and "What Must A King Do"?
I understand your addiction to Giacchino's work on lost. You should check out some from the second season soundtrack, a few really good ones there as well. I attempted to learn how to play "Parting Words" on a keyboard because I liked it so much.
Also, I really liked the music in "The Descent", but did it remind anyone here of Morricone's score for "The Thing" (directed by Carpenter)? There are pieces of music in the movie (The Descent) that sound identical, but go well with the suspense.
Also, j6, if you like those two tracks from "Saw", you should check out the "Shithole Theme" track from Saw III. It is very similar, but I believe a little bit longer, and does change up a few times. Worth checking out.
Some tracks that have me at the moment are:
"Ready For The Big Ride Bubba" - Face Off
"Hand In Hand" - Heat (complete score)
"Summer Overture" - Requiem For A Dream
"The Mahdi" - The Four Feathers
Just to name a few...

Current addiction, none. Past addictions include the John Wayne narration "Texas Is A Woman" from the Sons Of Katie Elder score...
"Texas is a woman, that's what ma use to say... Raise a boy up to be a man and there's Texas whispering in his ear, come on out and have some fun."
And then he goes on to say how ma worked like a horse raising four ungrateful boys who grew up to be no damn good.
Hey Serifiot, I'll second Airport 75. Love those big action/adventure scores when they were done so well. Speaking of John Cacavas, have you heard Horror Express? Lots of weird whistling and wah-wah guitar in the main title.

Right now, it would have to be Jerry Goldsmith's "Lonely Are The Brave"

I recently got the 'TRANSFORMERS ~ History of Music' 5-CD box set, and I've been having a blast with it. It contains the original scores, songs, and karaoke versions of the music from the various 'Transformers' TV series from Japan that came out between 1984-1989. Overall about 70% of the tracks are instrumental, 30% have vocals. I could do without most of the vocal tracks (sung mostly in Japanese), but hey, I'm not complaining. This is nostalgia at it's finest! (and the music is phenomenal)

Hello,
There are three scores that I have been hooked on for about a month now.
1. "The Hound of the Baskervilles" - Michael J. Lewis - One of my favorite scores from a Sherlock Holmes movie.
2. "The Final countdown" - John Scott - One of Scott's best scores.
3. "The Lighthorsemen" - Mario Millo - One of my favorite Australian scores.
Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

wwk...
I have Cacavas' "Horror Express" soundtrack somewhere. I cannot remember how the music went but I remember really liking the movie.
Also Cacavas' score for ''Airport 77'' would be a great honor to the man and a welcomed release at least by me, and should be released.
Lalo Schifrin's score for "Airport '79" should be released as well.
He even performed music from this film in his recent concert in Paris.

Another which really held my attention for awhile is the song "Fraulin D Cup" from Boeing Boeing sung by composer Neal Hefti...
"Fraulin D cup has a shape that inspires the guys. She's so stacked up that she'll bust you right between the eyes. And when she hickups, they shake and they shimmer and twirl, but no matter what anyone says about her, she's all girl."

"Masters of the Universe"- Bill Conti with the previously unreleased tracks..track 8- Centurion Attack (although I like almost all of it and I am not ashamed to admit it).
"Cocoon" - Gravity by Michael Sembello and "Gremlins"- Mega Madness- also Michael Sembello.
"Battlestar Galactica Season 2"- Scar - Bear Mc Creary
"2001"- Space Station Docking and "Dragonslayer"- the white horse- Alex North
"The Amityville Horror"- opening credits- Lalo Schfrin (dare you not to get that one stuck in your head for a bit)!
