Does anybody collect movie memorabilia in addition to soundtracks?
I don't know if this is a proper question for this forum, but I would like to know if anybody else collects movie memorabilia like posters, toys, etc.? I collect (surprise, surprise) Japanese movie memorabilia from the 70's. Some highlights of my collection are:
complete lobby cards sets from both LADY SNOWBLOOD films
Subway size poster from the first Kozure Ookami (Lonewolf and Cub)
I have every poster from all Sukeban films (incl. 3 diff Sukeban Guerilla ones: from halfsheet to subway)
Tatekan (large 2 part posters) from "Female Yakuza Tale" and "Sex and Fury"
Ultra rare "Sengoku Rock: Female Warriors" poster. This film was a "pink" version of "Seven Samurai" released by Nikkatsu in the early 70's.
+ too many more to list!
I also collect US horror and "cult" one-sheets.
Does anyone else collect movie memorabilia?

I would like to collect posters from 50's sci fi B movies and also old Bond posters but all these are so damn expensive. :- (
Whatever is colorful!
I might stick to nice reprints in the future for framing but enough collecting for now.

well if any of you folks collect movie posters & lobby sets, drop me a line at
ajbjmdbhotmail.com
when I retired home to Canada my office packed up everything , which included several 100 posters, mainly UK quads & 100+ lobby sets.
I did sell quite a lot on Ebay for a time, but just got tired of it all, so here it sits. $5 per set or poster + postage.
Before you all get too crazy, all the Star Wars stuff & the cult stuff has long since gone, my nephews had it all years ago!
but if you want a list. drop me a line.
1 last thing Canadian mail is volumetric, so it can be costly to mail stuff outside the USA & Canada.

Some original film posters I like to gawk at from time to time.
One that really warms my heart is an American release of Deep Red (Profondo Rosso) featuring a painting of a baby doll hanging from the neck and holding a bloody meat cleaver with the tag line... "When was the last time you were really scared!)

I have a huge amount of Star Wars toys, model kits, lobby cards and a large collection of books, film related, mainly biographies. I came across a rare book put together by Mario Puzo which he compiled whilst he was touring Las Vegas working on the script for the Godfather. He took all the photographs in it himself. Very glossy, but no dust jacket.
I seem to have run out of space so when I have finished converting the loft into a screening room (not long to go) I will start to shift the stuff.
