"Some Came Running" - Elmer Bernstein
"The Chase" - John Barry
"Lonely are the Brave"- Jerry Goldsmith
"A place in The Sun" suite - Frank Waxman
PS : I just discovered a few weeks ago (the film and the score) "The Miracle Worker "and I
don't know how it took me so long to see this incredible movie but it blew me away with its
modernity and its incredible violence .
Have a nice week end ,

The Great Composers - Georges Delerue CD1 ...
... mostly superb melodies and we're onto the last track now which is less melodic but still nice.
No CD changer so I have to do it manually and so far this morning we've had Ennio Morricone's:
Il Ladrone (trying to decide whether to buy the new expanded release) &
Two Mules For Sister Sara - great fun (though the battle music is a little too heavy for my liking given the fun nature of the movie. That said, I do recall it was a violent end sequence so perhaps the Maestro's take on the storyline is valid)

It IS good to be asked this question. In a world that's largely indifferent to this kind of music, where can you share your passion for this art, outside of this venue?
Anyway, on the changer now:
Cutthroat Island (2-disc version) -- John Debney
My Left Foot / Da -- Elmer Bernstein
Hommage a Sylvestre Revueltas -- Strictly speaking, this is not a score, but it does contain suites from a number of the films he did write music for, such as The Night of the Mayas.
Symphony No. 1 -- Bernard Herrmann (also not a score, but hey, it's B. Herrmann--how bad is that!)
Le Boucher -- Pierre Jansen
House on Haunted Hill -- Don Davis
