Help with Mulan Track Listing
I'd be really grateful if anyone can help me solve this Jerry Goldsmith mystery!
Recently bought on ebay what I thought was the academy promo of Jerry Goldsmith's Mulan. It came with no box or case to tell me of track listings (hmm, uh-oh methought) and contains 36 tracks running to a total of 78 minutes 09 seconds, which matches NONE of the versions, official or not, listed on this site. I've played it through for track timings and can match certain tracks with what I presume are their correct titles, but some are complete mysteries to me. The sound quality is great and I didn't pay that much at all so I don't feel too diddled even if I have been.
I honestly don't mean to mention the dreaded B**tl*g word here but does anyone know what I've got and if you have the same version can anyone tell me what the tracks are called?

According to this article - www.filmtracks.com/titles/mulan.html - the original FYC-promo is
completely different from your CD: 52 minutes, 29 tracks.

I would think that Academy promos are not always the so called COMPLETE score of a particular film.
Usually the complete score comes in some unofficial release or releases.
Most likely you did receive music to "Mulan" by Jerry Goldsmith but not the so called authentic academy promo one you thought you had purchased but instead from what it seems an unofficial Mulan complete score out of the numerous unofficial Mulan complete score releases circulating in cyberspace which come in various number of tracks, track titles, and track timings.
In any case... enjoy the music!
