Commemorating a three month anniversary!

It's been three month since I submitted 2 EP scans and still, no word from the great beyond.

I'll not submit any others that's for sure. In the process of creating my own website where I shall offer them for the consideration of one and all.

Personally I consider it a bit rude and inconsiderate not to at least let people know about how long it will be for a scan to be included in this database.

Some of my submissions took a year to be included in the database, some are still waiting for
approval.

Relax, knives. There isn't any sense in pouting and complaining.

Why not just simply appreciate the excellent work by Ton and Erwin and enjoy the ever growing
and unsurpassed wealth of information?

I concur with your view, Coma:
"Why not just simply appreciate the excellent work by Ton and Erwin and enjoy the ever growing
and unsurpassed wealth of information?"

Would it make you feel better, workingwithknives, if you received an automated response which said: thank you for your submission; you will hear from us in due course ... then again isn't that what already happens?

Perhaps you want a further automated response every month to say, sorry we've not yet approved your submission but it is in the queue.

If an estimate of time to process was provided don't you think contributors would be jumping up and down as and when that time period passes ... so perhaps we can all presume that the submisson will be reviewed within ten years. Do you keep a note of when you submitted a particular scan? I'm a record keeper by nature but this is one set of data I don't record.

Once again, I haven't heard a logical answer as to why it takes so long. Especially when a new release is included immediately.

Even trash recordings such as garbage from a lame American television show takes priority over what this site is supposedly about.

Nah, I don't buy the excuses.

Maybe Ton and Erwin only have time for this homepage in their free time, so I can only agree with others - appreciate the excellent work for this homepage.

Paraphrasing SC in case we have forgotten...

GUIDELINES BEFORE ONE SUBMITS COVER IMAGES TO SC:

~ .jpg or .GIF files of at least 400 by 400 pixels... AT LEAST!

~ make sure the image one wants to submit corresponds to the correct label that has been selected and is in good not shabby condition.

*Two versions of each picture are created, a small one and a large one. If one sends a small picture, the large version cannot be made.

******Scanning of LP’s******

It can be difficult to scan an LP, even if one uses a flatbed scanner.

One has to scan it in 2 or 4 parts.

By using photo software, like 'Adobe Photoshop' or 'Paintshop', one can stick these parts together again.

Another option is to submit the 2 or 4 scanned parts separately and SC will stick them together and add them to the database.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"We run a very small, even tiny operation and we get a lot of images...

This means it could take some time (weeks and sometimes months) before your image is processed and approved...

Please be patient!...

Your submission will be reviewed but it can take some time!"
