Would be great if those news were based on facts.

I know nothing about it, but would rejoice to see soundtrack releases for Dracula AD 1972 and
The Satanic Rites of Dracula.

my first two choices would the first two Dracula masterful scores by James Bernard, Horror of Dracula and Dracula Prince of Darkness.

This is what I found: "I went to see him and we were chatting and he told me about GDI records who had released a compilation of the original themes from around twenty Hammer movies. I got in touch with GDI and spoke to Gary Wilson, the MD, and we got on very well, and met up. After that Gary asked me to write the sleeve notes along with Marcus Hearne, I think I did about fourteen in all, in fact I have two sets waiting to be approved by GDI for release in 2007."

I thought that Captain Kronos is the first to be released from GDI as of now (according to older announcements).

do they have a website? where did you hear about Capt. Kronos? Thanks.

The soundtracks section can be found on the official Hammer website--

The word about Captain Kronos spread at the time of the GDI last releases 5 years ago and I'm sure that they were also speaking about another Dracula score, I believe one of those mentioned above.

Hello!

Another soundtrack they were preparing for release just before GDI aparently stopped all activities was DR. JEKYLL AND SISTER HYDE, by David Whitaker. I remember this being one of the best Hammer scores I've ever heard (with permission of the great James Bernard).

In those glorious days when GDI began their collection, I remember I read in somewhere that the soundtracks to some films were unavailable for releasing in CD because the original session recordings (without dialogue and sound effects) were destroyed in the past (I don't know if by natural causes or by the man's hand).

Anyway, I hope that GDI will continue their business in short, although I'd like they could use the original poster art work of the movies for the booklets :)

Greetings,
Angel

As for Dracula AD 1972 and Satanic Rites, I would love to see them released. The only scraps
I know are the main titles (both are on The Hammer Collection vol. 2), but that's
recommendation enough. AD72 is listed in our database here, but I doubt whether it really
exists.

Maybe someone entered it here when he/she read this announcement from the Hammer
homepage:

"Later this year we'll be releasing the soundtracks to Dracula A.D. 1972 and Dr Jekyll & Sister
Hyde,' says producer Gary Wilson. 'The support we're continuing to receive from the
composers, the critics and the public is phenomenal."

Has anyone ever come across one of these releases?
