legend label back in the saddle

On Intermezzomedia.com I read that Carthage in flames by Mario Nascimbene will be released on CD on the Legend label. This label was out of production for many years. It seems to return. Good news!

Except that all/nearly all of the Legend label releases I have heard have disappointed me with their sound quality.

Navajo Joe, Orca, Two Mules For Sister Sara/Days Of Heaven being prime examples.

Whilst I know this may be down to the quality of the master tapes, I think the Label should show more interest in their product. The last mentioned double score demonstrated a total disregard for the listener - only a small point but important. The last note of the first score is almost overwritten by the first note for the second score. Sloppy work!

So, yes welcome back but I hope that their standards are little higher.

The remastering technology was not as advanced in 1992-5 when most of their recordings were released.

I've heard that there's also another new Nascimbene coming from Dagored very soon.

Welcome back Legend and Mario.
