25-Feb-2007 - We've got the results of the 79th Annual Academy Awards™, where The Departed ultimately walked away with the Best Picture Oscar, Martin Scorsese finally won Best Director, and award season royals Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) and Helen Mirren (The Queen) were crowned Best Actor and Actress. The winner of the Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score was a surprise, or maybe not?! It again is Gustavo Santaolalla, this time for Babel. The Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song went to Melissa Etheridge for the song I Need To Wake Up from the movie An Inconvenient Truth. Up to next year's Oscars..!
