Set in the high-gloss city of Miami, Nip/Tuck explores the lives of Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon, who star as doctors Sean McNamara and Christian Troy, two talented, hot-shot plastic surgeons whose catch phrase, “Tell me what you don’t like about yourself,” sets the stage for a series filled with secrets and deception. Their glamorous South Beach practice is a revolving door for the show’s fourth season hot-button issues and human foibles which include a 50-year-old phone sex operator who wants to have her voice rejuvenated; a family of Powerball winners all of whom want plastic surgery; a ventriloquist who wants to look like his dummy; a patient who wants her husband’s ashes suspended in her saline breast implants and a terrifying story arc about an organ-harvesting ring. But it’s not only the patients who undergo life-changing experiences during season four. Drs. McNamara and Troy celebrate a landmark 5000 surgeries together; Sean sees the birth of his new son Conner while his older son Matt becomes a Scientologist; Christian experiences a sexual identity crisis and Sean moves to Los Angeles to start a new life after selling his portion of the practice.

Nip/Tuck was created by Ryan Murphy (Popular) and premiered in July of 2003 on the FX cable network. The music has been written by James S. Levine. Since its premiere, the show exploded to critical acclaim and has earned multiple awards, including a Golden Globe Award in 2005 for Best Television Series – Drama. The fourth season of Nip/Tuck aired on FX from September 5, 2006 to December 12, 2006.
