Xavier Jamaux's Sparrow
16-Nov-2008 - Naïve Records France has released the original score for the Hong Kong movie, Sparrow (original Cantonese title: Man Jeuk), directed by Johnny To, and starring Kelly Lin, Simon Yam, Ka Tung Lam and Kenneth Cheung. It's the story of a gang of pickpockets, who roam the streets of Hong Kong. The original title, Man Jeuk, which means Sparrow in Cantonese, is slang for pickpockets who are very good in their job. Xavier Jamaux, a French composer, has penned a nice, jazzy score with asian influences.
