Akira Ifukube's Contatto Con L'Oriente
5-Jun-2009 - The new label Kronos Records comes with a re-release of a legendary recording, Contatto Con L'Oriente, Omaggio Al Maestro Akira Ifukube. This concert of the best works of Akira Ifukube has been recorded at the Church di S. Giuseppe, in Prato, Italy on March 15, 1988. Among other great pieces of the Maestro, like the famous Godzilla themes and music of King Kong Escapes, there is a unique performance by the legendary Edda Dell'Orso. The CD was originally released in 1988 by SLC Records in Japan and sold out the same year. Now this legendary ecording is available again, after a remastering in the studio by the organiser of the concert himself, Prof. Roberto Zamori of Hexacord Records. It's a limited edition of 500 hand numbered copies, so you have to hurry.
