Michael J. Linn's Allan Quatermain And The Lost City Of Gold
26-Aug-2009 - La-La Land Records has released the score for Allan Quatermain And The Lost City Of Gold, the 1986 Cannon Film’s action/adventure feature film, the sequel to King Solomon's Mines, starring Richard Chamberlain, Sharon Stone and James Earl Jones. After his brother Robeson disappears without a trace while exploring Africa in search of a legendary 'white tribe', Alan Quatermain decides to follow in his footsteps to learn what became of him. Soon after arriving, he discovers the los City of Gold, controlled by the evil lord Agon, and mined by his legions of white slaves. Is this where Robeson met his end? Remastered from MGM vault elements, Michael Linn’s robust orchestral score compliments all the adventure in high-flying fashion, occasionally working in Jerry Goldsmith’s main theme from King Solomon's Mines. The CD booklet features exclusive, in-depth liner notes. Produced by Ford A. Thaxton. This is a limited edition pressing of 1200 copies.
The score is available from La-La Land Records.
