New from Digitmovies
5-Jan-2010 -
Digitmovies has released four CDs with music from famous Italian classic movies. The first CD comes from the wide territory of the Italian Peplum. Released are for the very first time the complete versions - as volume XV of the series dedicated to this prolific genre - of three orchestral scores by Carlo Rustichelli on one CD. Also for the very first time on CD are the complete editions in full stereo of the scores for the two Italian cult TV series Orzowei and Il Marsigliese which were composed by the prolific brothers Guido & Maurizio De Angelis. Digitmovies proudly reissues on CD the complete edition in mono and in full stereo of the score by Gianni Ferrio for a classic 1969 western. Digitmovies ventures again into the world of the Italian police cinema by releasing as volume eight of the “Italian Police Movies OST” series for the very first time complete and in full stereo two scores of the mythic Stelvio Cipriani for two Italian cult police movies.

The first one is the complete edition in mono and in full
stereo of the score by Gianni Ferrio for the classic 1969
The film tells the story of John Warner, an employee of rich
Don Pedro Sandoval who asks for the hand of his daughter
Rosa, but the rich man does not give his assent to this
marriage and accuses him with the striving for his real estate.
Gianni Ferrio (born in Vicenza,1924), one of the biggest
names of Italian film music, has composed one of his best
scores for the big screen with this music.

From Stelvio Cipriani come the complete scores in stereo
for two Italian cult police movies: Squadra Volante and
La Polizia Ringrazia. This CD is possible thanks to the
great support of C.A.M. in whose archives the stereo
mastertapes of both scores have been well preserved.
From Squadra Volante only one track was issued on a
C.A.M library LP, whereas from La Polizia Ringrazia two
tracks were released in 1972 on a nowadays hard to
find C.A.M. 45 rpm single (AMP 98), which was also
reissued in Japan on the Seven Seas label of King
Records.

Digitmovies has released as volume XV of the Italian
Peplum series three orchestral scores by Carlo Rustichelli
on one CD. They were composed for three adventure
movies placed in the desert and steppe, all of them
directed by Amerigo Anton. The three are Il Dominatore
Della Steppa. This CD is possible one more time thanks
to the big help of C.A.M. who have perfectly preserved
in their vaults the mono mastertapes containing all that
M° Rustichelli had originally recorded for these three
movies. Another score rescue of the Italian Silver Age.

Another premiere from Digitmovies. For the first time on
CD the complete editions in full stereo of the scores for
the two Italian cult TV series in the seventies, Orzowei,
composed by the brothers Guido & Maurizio De Angelis.
In those days only two singles were issued: Orzowei
(RCA BB 6054), a very big International record hit and
Il Marsigliese (RCA TBBO 1160). This CD has been made
possible thanks to the stereo mastertapes which have
been well preserved in the RCA archives.
