Grégoire Hetzel's The Tree
16-Sep-2010 - Colosseum Records has released The Tree, based on the book “Our Father Who Art In The Tree”, by Judy Pascoe. After the sudden death of her father, 8-year-old Simone shares a secret with her mother Dawn. She’s convinced her father speaks to her through the leaves of her favourite tree and he’s come back to protect them. But the new bond between mother and daughter is threatened when Dawn starts a relationship with George, the plumber, called in to remove the tree’s troublesome roots. As the branches of the tree start to infiltrate the house, the family is forced to make an agonising decision. But have they left it too late? The original film music is written and composed by Grégoire Hetzel, feat the songs from the movie: “Weak” by Asaf Avidan & The Mojos, “To Build A Home” by The Cinematic Orchestra and the songs "Flying Foxes" and "Shiver Shiver" by the Australian band The Slippers. Also included is the Scholars Baroque Ensemble performing the J.S. Bach cantata “The Passion according to St. John”.
Available from Amazon France and Colosseum Records.
