John Debney's The Call
28-Apr-2013 - Lakeshore Records has released the score for The Call. It's the story of Jordan Turner, who is an experienced 911 operator but when she makes an error in judgment and a call ends badly, Jordan is rattled and unsure if she can continue. But then teenager Casey Welson is abducted in the back of a man's car and calls 911. And Jordan is the one called upon to use all of her experience, insights and quick thinking to help Casey escape, and not just to save Casey, but to make sure the man is brought to justice. “I wanted to create a visceral, nasty electronic score for this intense film. Brad Anderson is a director of uncommon vision and we worked very closely on every moment of the music,” said John Debney of his work on The Call. “This was new-ish territory for me but I absolutely relished the adventure.” The score is available from Amazon.com, Amazon UK, Amazon France and Amazon Germanyand also available as download.
