Cristobal Tapia de Veer's Utopia²
16-Nov-2014 - Silva Screen Records will release Utopia². This second instalment by Chilean composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer continues in the eclectic and innovative style of the Award Winning first soundtrack. The first album featured sounds produced by a dried rhino turd, a human femur and a handful of samples. This time, Christo is focusing on an analogue sound produced by outmoded synthesisers to match the 70s story lines with added Church organ and vocals. For the first episode Christo invented a bizarre 1970s Italian pop music and for Episode 3 he drew on his classical training to produce string pieces.
