Cristobal Tapia de Veer's Humans

23-Oct-2015 - Silva Screen Records presents Humans, composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer's soundtrack to the highly acclaimed Channel 4 series. The first series was shown on C4, debuting on 14 June 2015. Humans is based on the award-winning Swedish science fiction drama Real Humans. The series explores the complicated emotions arising from the blurring of lines between “synths” (humanoid artificial intelligence) and humans. Says The Guardian of Cristobal’s score: “The soundtrack, by Cristobal Tapia de Veer, proves as crucial an adornment as his work on Utopia, applying shards of colour, clarity and mystery to housebound sequences that might otherwise feel weighed down by the carefully maintained suburban drabness. And, frankly, “synth” is a way cooler soubriquet for android than “replicant”.”
