FSM's March releases
14-Mar-2004 - Film Score Monthly has released in the Golden Age Classics series, Miklós Rózsa's Diane (1956) one of his typically superlative historical efforts for M-G-M, featuring a gorgeous melody for Diane, numerous secondary themes, and copious action and mysical-choral passages. Although not a long score per se, Rózsa recorded so many alternate versions that it is being released as a 2CD set.
In the Silver Age Classics series comes Logan's Run,. from the sci-fi TV series which premiered on CBS in September 1977. Nine of the episodes received original scores, and all are presented on this premiere CD: four by Laurence Rosenthal, two by Jerrold Immel, one by Jeff Alexander, and two by a young Bruce Broughton.
