Max Steiner's The Fountainhead
3-Dec-2004 - Chelsea Rialto Studio's and Screen Archives Entertainment have announced that the BYU/CR Studios/Screen Archives presentation of Max Steiner's landmark score to The Fountainhead is now available. As a film, The Fountainhead has its champions and its challengers. But Max Steiner's score is universally hailed as one of the great musical accompaniements of the late 1940's. The soundtrack has been painstakingly restored from the composer's acetate discs, resulting in a dynamic, dramatic audio presentation. Included is a full-color booklet designed by Charles Johnston of Screen Archives. Film and music notes are by Glenn Alexander Magee.
