Lalo Schifrin's Les Félins
20-Feb-2005 - Aleph Records has released one of Lalo Schifrin's earliest of his soundtracks, Les Félins, also known as Joy House and The Love Cage. Until now some of the music could only be heard on compilation albums or on The Cat, a jazz album with Jimmy Smith and arranged and conducted by Lalo Schifrin. And now, within a couple of months there are two releases with all the music written for the movie. First there was the release of Universal Music France (rumours are that this release is already out of print) and now comes a perfect release of Lalo Schifrin's own record label, Aleph Records. Lalo Schifrin: "If you compare my career to a house, "Les Félins" would be its foundations. The score contains the seeds of "Bullitt, Dirty Harry, and Enter The Dragon..."
