Randy Miller's Spartacus

26-May-2005 - Intrada Records has released in the Intrada Signature Edition the original soundtrack from the two-part mini-series Spartacus (2004). The score by Randy Miller is for a large orchestra plus an ethnic ensemble featuring oud, duduk, female voice, and unusual percussion. Miller also fashions a haunting love theme for Spartacus and Varinia plus an arching melody representing the gladiator army's struggle for freedom. This special CD presentation comes through the combined efforts of the composer, NBC-Universal, USA Network and Intrada. Randy Miller conducts the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. The release is limited to 1000 copies.
