New from Harkit Records
14-Aug-2005 - Harkit Records has re-released two classic film scores, both of a Roman Polanski movie. Rosemary's Baby, (1968) starring Mia Farrow as a meek housewife caught up in a tale of New York and modern-day witchcraft. Krzysztof Komeda's haunting score is here for the first time in an expanded version with a remarkable 'vocalese' version by Polish songstress Urszula Dudziak with Walk Away and rare rehearsal tracks by the composer. A sensational fully illustrated booklet with insightful notes in both English and Polish. The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967), starring Roman Polanski himself, with his wife Sharon Tate in a hilarious parody of the vampire genre that was lavishly staged with sumptuous costumes and sets. This official first-time release of Komeda's score is again supplemented by copious notes written by film music writer, Andrew Keech and includes rare photos of Sharon Tate taken on set by Polanski.
