Shapiro/Wedren's The Baxter
13-Sep-2005 - Milan Records presents The Baxter, a quirky, contemporary homage to the classic romantic screwball comedies of the 1940s. It chronicles a chaotic two week period prior to the wedding of Elliot Sherman, a conservative, risk-averse guy who is a quintessential "Baxter" - a guy who never actually gets the girl. The movie features quirky pop, rock, jazz and 80s throwback music written by the film's composers, Theodore Shapiro and Craig Wedren, as well as songs from a wide array of artists including Rufus Wainwright, Amy Miles, Rats With Wings, Peter Sallet and others. The soundtrack also includes a selection of the dialogue from the film, woven between the music.
