6-Dec-2005 - Digitmovies in Italy presents three special releases, including the world premiere on CD of the complete recording of the original score by Guido & Maurizio De Angelis for Piedone A Hong Kong. This is the second movie of the series directed in 1975 by Steno and starring Bud Spencer, the big cop who uses his fist as the most powerful weapon in the world.
Then there is the second volume decicated to the original scores for the movies directed by Mario Bava, the Italian maestro of horror and noir cinema. This 2-CD set focuses on the original scores by Carlo Rustichelli (1916-2004) for La Frusta E Il Corpo (The Whip And The Body) (1963) and Sei Donne Per L’Assassino (Blood And Black Lace) (1964).
Digitmovies continues his explorative journey into the wide land of the Spaghetti Western soundtracks, re-issuing the de-luxe double CD edition of I Quattro Dell’Ave Maria (Ace high) by Carlo Rustichelli. This western was directed in 1968 by Giuseppe Colizzi, starring the Dynamite duo Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, directed before by Giuseppe Colizzi in 1967, in the movie Dio Perdona, Io No (God Forgives, I Don’t) and later in 1969 in La Collina Degli Stivali (“Boot Hill), (this score is still available on Digitmovies CDDM020) a movie trilogy that has reached the status of “cult” among the Spaghetti Western fans around the world since its original theatrical releases.
