Franz Waxman's Untamed finally released.
25-Mar-2001 - Another release from Film Score Monthly is Franz Waxman's 1955 epic score for Untamed, starring Tyrone Power and Susan Hayward, and directed by Henry King.
Untamed is the story of the great potato famine in Ireland, and the emigration of thousands. Among those leaving is Katie O'Neill and her husband, who decide that the promised land is South Africa. Once there, Katie meets up with the love of her life, Paul van Riebeeck. Will there be betrayal on the veldt? Anyway, you will find the musical answers on this release... As far as we know Untamed has never been released on vinyl or CD.
