New from MovieScore Media
25-Dec-2007 - MovieScore Media keeps on releasing new scores. This time the first one is the wonderful orchestral score from the British family movie The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey, directed by Bill Clark. The music is composed by Guy Farley, one of UK's most interesting new composers. The melodic score once again showcases the composer's Georges Delerue-like sensibility when it comes to writing memorable themes, and the score has a special way of combining a magical fairy-tale feel with a sense of intimacy and reflection.
Australian composer Carlo Giacco has created a chilling orchestral thriller score for Like Minds (aka Murderous Intent).  The film tells the story about a forensic psychologist who is appointed to determine whether there's enough evidence to lay murder charges against a 17-year boy. Orchestrated and conducted by Giacco, the music was performed by the 70-piece Sydney Studio Orchestra, with the 32 voices of the choir Cantillation. The choir is also performing Giacco's beautiful arrangement of Ludovico Da Viadana's 'Exultate Justi' for the final of the album.
