The Film Music Of Dmitri Shostakovich, Vol. 2

6-Mar-2004 - Chandos in the UK has released The FIlm Music of Dmitri Shostakovich, Vol. 2. This release includes suites from The Golden Mountains (1931), The Gadfly (1955), and the premiere recording of Volochayev Days (1937). The recording took place in April 2003 in Studio 7 of the New Broadcasting House in Manchester. The BBC Philharmonic with conductor Vassily Sinaisky again did a wonderful job in recording these treasures of the past..!
